Comments and Activity

Every task's page has two tabs, kept deliberately separate so discussion and history don't get tangled together:

  • Comments — free-form discussion between teammates, with the same light text formatting available everywhere else.
  • Activity — an automatic, always up-to-date log of what's actually happened to the task: column changes, review-status changes, edits, and so on, written by RefractTrack itself rather than by a person. This is also where you'll see a note if you and a teammate happened to edit the same field on a task at the same time — see Tasks for how that's handled.

Editing a comment

You can edit your own comments after posting; admins can edit anyone's if needed. Older versions of an edited comment are kept, not thrown away, so there's always a clear record of what was actually said and when.

Comments travel with your data

Both the comment thread and the activity history for a task come along automatically when you export a project. See Export and Import.
